One of the most widely known stories associated with Halloween is The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a short story written by American author Washington Irving. It is set in Sleepy Hollow, a secluded glen which is famous for its supernatural activities and gloomy atmosphere, as well as inhabitants’ and visitors’ testimonies about seeing apparitions.
