Most people don’t think sports is science, But those people are very, very wrong. Sports is science because it involves some of science’s most important studies! First of all it involves Athleticness. It is a noun that means physical sports or games of any kind. The second property is Physiology, Physiology is the scientific study of how our bodies work and move, The final property is Psychology, It is the study of our human brains and how they work. With all of these properties together, we have things like, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Football, Polo, Rugby, Dance, Soccer etc. For Gabby and Oj’s project, they wanted to see which sport was the most popular in the age span of 11-14. Gabby and Oj’s experiment involves athleticness.It is the first property. Athleticness is a noun that means physical sports and games of any kind. Physiology plays another big part in sports. Physiology is the scientific study of how our bodies work and move. It goes along with sports because sports is a kind of exercise and it works our body and muscles. When we play sports like football or baseball/softball, It requires us to use our arms, and legs, which is physiology. When we run we use our quadricep muscles, which is on the front of the thigh. The quadricep muscles bend your hip, and straighten your knee. That is how you run. When we use our arms, we have a few muscles that are used when we throw something or extend our arm, a few are the biceps and triceps.
