A sport is an activity that requires physical and intense activity. Most sports hold practices and come with rules. Sports also have required equipment that you need such as certain shoes or a uniform. Two of the most common sports are cheerleading and football. Tons of arguments always happen among fellow athletes on whether or not that cheerleading is as difficult as football. Many argue that cheerleading is not as difficult as football, but cheerleading has many of the same injuries, needed equipment, and ability to memorize certain information just like football. A cheerleader will have to remember cheers, dances, and chants from the first day of try outs. Not everyone who tries for cheerleader will make the squad, which only makes this sport harder. A cheerleader candidate is given one week to remember a dance, stunt routine, cheer, and a chant. Then once a cheerleader has made the squad he/she is required to learn all the cheers, dances, and chants that will be performed throughout the year. On top of learning cheers, dances, and chants, cheerleaders are required to learn how to stunt and who is in their stunt groups. A football player is required to remember maybe half of the plays that the team will be running that year. Not to mention most the time the quarterback has a card that shows what play the team will be running. The football coaches have clipboards that have all the plays and when they will be ran so football players are not actually having to memorize too much information. Also, everyone can play on the football team. Cheerleading is by far more difficult than football, because football players have only plays and foot movement to
