The Uniform Commercial Code refers to a set of regulations that govern all business transactions in the United States. It was initially published in the year 1952 and is used to harmonize the laws that govern transactions in the 50 states. The aim of harmonizing state law is important since there has been a prevalence in the number of commercial transactions that extend beyond a single state.
