It is better to be unique and stand out, rather than be the same as everyone else. In the novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, the main character Guy Montag wears his happiness as a mask. He doesn’t realize the unstable society he has been put into. The characters Clarisse, Faber, and Granger demonstrated this, by showing Montag the true meaning of being unique, and seeing the world in a different way. Their clever words and ideas helped Montag create an image of what he wants his life to be like. Clarisses’ unique perspective changed Montag’s beliefs for the better.
