The Gospel of Luke provides a narrative of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, starting with angels proclaiming the conception of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, and ending with the risen Jesus being lifted up into heaven. The proof of Jesus’ messiahship and mission is shown throughout the theme of this book. Luke really emphasized that Jesus was the son of man in fact he mentioned it twenty-five times. The Jews expected the Messiah to accomplish specific tasks and to have particular qualities. They expected the Messiah to defeat the Romans and establish a new worldly kingdom. The religious leaders, however, were jealous of him. They feared that the Romans would take their position of authority. These are the grounds upon which the Jews disregarded Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah. It is clear that God did not do miracles only to improve the quality of life for his children. Miracles happened in Luke to show that Jesus is truly the one and only son of God. It was massively important for the leading up to and undertaking of salvation. Luke had an amazing point of literary excellence and huge attention to historical detail. Jesus had a miraculous birth but he didn’t start his ministry until the age of thirty. Jesus didn't start his ministry until thirty just because God had something in mind for His life. But if we look for a rational explanation for why Jesus waited until then to launch his public ministry, it would appear that it was because he was a legitimate rabbi. By tradition, rabbis weren't considered mature enough to start their public ministry until they were 30 years old. Jesus healed people through miracles. Unlike others, Jesus cared very deeply about the poor and their needs. Jesus taught in the parable instead of just being straight up. Jesus used parables because he wanted to keep the people who were not willing to listen from understanding what he was saying. The miracles that Jesus did were to the extent that people thought what he was doing was impossible. The miracles he did were to prove to all people that he was not just an ordinary prophet but the Messiah. Jesus was completely rejected by the Jews as the Messiah.
