In Forester’s A Room With a View the story takes place in two settings, one in Summer Street, England, the other Florence, Italy. These locations are entirely different in their ideals. Florence is a very optimistic environment where you can be hopeful and immersed in what is going on. This is the polar opposite of Summer Street, here Lucy finds life to be boring and dull where you can go a day and not miss a thing.
