Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown fond of recounting these tales of heroism, of good triumphing over evil. Of how even the most ordinary of men could rise up against the dastardly schemes of others. Of a hunter killing anything from a Beowulf to a Goliath. Your pathetic kind will come lapping for even the most arbitrary of stories if it pushes away the darkness a little bit, reminds of the way things should be. You come expecting a story of happiness and triumph. Of victory over darkness and the Grimm. This isn’t one of those stories. This is a different story. In this story, heroes die. In this story, the bad guys win, and the Grimm are free to slaughter. In this story, I rule. And I will make it my life’s mission to destroy you and all that you love, Ozpin. So send your guardians, your toy soldiers from a cardboard empire. Send them, and watch as they burn for your failures. And then I will come for you, and you will suffer. Suffer for what you’ve done. Perhaps. But, perhaps victory is better found in the places long forgotten and long overlooked. Places with a simpler life, with a simpler people.
