Beschloss uncovers the troubles each and every single one of the president’s moment of crisis and how they all overcame these problems while risking the stability of the country. George Washington had faced his biggest challenge in the political field and surprisingly not the battlefield in 1795 when he attempted to turn away from a new war against Great Britain that he knew the United States could not succeed.

By doing so, he makes people believe Washington deserved to be the first President because of his courageous life. Lengel carefully put certain timelines in the story to explain Washington’s life into chronological order. Is abortion right? People fight a lot about it, they bring up their religious views, and it can't really be solved because people won't stop fighting about it. I think this conflict can not be solved because people think different things. And some people think they're right so they will state things against it and then maybe give up after people with actual facts prove them wrong.
