ALS: Morrie’s story

Mitch Albom wrote the book Tuesdays With Morrie. It is an very inspirational book teaching many life lessons. Lou Gehrig's disease, also known as ALS, is what Morrie is diagnosed with. ALS is A nervous system disease, that weakens muscles and impacts physical function. This book taught from the importance in friendship, to the importance in life. The book encourages people to live their lives to the fullest and to not take anything for granted. The author wrote a great story and is changing the lives of many. Throughout the book, Morrie is teaching us how to cope with life and death. In Tuesdays With Morrie, Morrie always had a good attitude. He taught us that even when life isn’t going great, that there is always something to look forward to. This book is great because of the many things we should we grateful for and to not let the negativity bring us down. ALS is a serious disease that can make someone paralyzed. But Morrie always brought out the positive in things. One organization called MDA is trying to end ALS, along with other nervous system diseases. All of these foundations, fundraisers, events, walks, ice bucket challenge has made huge difference of the amount of money they have raised. A lot more people are aware about this disease and understand how serious it is and how they need to do something about it.
ALS use to be a very unknown disease, but with all of the help everyone is putting in creating new things to do to help out, is making it spread all over. It will begin to grow and grow every single year. There will be many more organizations, more challenges, moe walks, and more money, hopefully one day, to find a cure for the terrible
