In this paragraph, Juliet is oxymoronic and uses paradoxes to give expression and to show that she is conflicted. The first line, “O serpent heart, hid with a flowering face!” is revealing that Juliet is not very forgiving towards Romeo for killing her cousin and thinks that his bad character got masked by his good looks and charm. This first line doesn’t have an oxymoron in it however the point of it is to show the audience that Juliet’s first reaction towards the incident is not good. The play, Romeo and Juliet, is about two star-crossed lovers that had been led to their death because of various actions of different characters. The actions that caused the death of these lovers were foolish. The characters that greatly impacted the death of Romeo and Juliet are the two households, Montague and Capulet, Friar Laurence and the two lovers themselves, Romeo and Juliet. Whether deliberately or unintentionally, their actions have all lead to the tragic death.

The idea of someone else being at fault for the actions of others is seen in the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. The story is about two teenagers who fall in love despite being in families that are feuding. Ultimately, after pursuing a forbidden love affair, both lovers end up taking their lives.

In Romeo and Juliet, the characters are faced with an unrelenting series of unfortunate coincidences, which eventually lead to the demise of six characters. The blame could be placed on many characters in the story, including a priest, Juliet’s parents, and Romeo and Juliet themselves. Who is the most responsible? The majority of the blame can be narrowed down to Juliet, Friar Lawrence, and Fate.

The feud, Friar Laurence, or even Juliet’s parents could be the true cause of the tragedy, but by using the supporting evidence from the story, one can find out just how everything went down. The feud caused a mutual hatred among the two families, resulting in behavioral issues. Friar Laurence, could have diverted this dilemma, but he decided to disregard others and help Romeo and Juliet behind everyones back.
“Star cross’d lovers” are doomed lovers, just like Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is a play written by William Shakespeare, two lovers take their lives to be with each other. Each and every day, people make sacrifices for their loved ones. Maybe they choose to get up earlier in order to do chores or miss an important meeting so that they would have time for each other. There is no greater example of sacrifices for loved ones than in Romeo and Juliet however, where Shakespeare explores two star-crossed lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, who come from two families that have a deep hatred towards each other. The pair meet each other, secretly wed, and then in order to stay together, commit suicide out of despair and distress. Through Romeo and Juliet’s acts of defiance and sacrifice, Shakespeare proves that while hate has the power to destroy and kill, love is even more powerful as it has the power to transform.
“Clarity” ~Zedd (ft. foxes) Act 2 Scene 3 R&J As the song starts with a rather hopelessness tempo we enter the first line that goes as “High dive into frozen waves where the past combes back to life” This line makes me that we are going back in someone's memories. After this line it goes “Fight fear for the selfish pain, it was worth it every time” I believe this means that despite the fears they have and how their love was selfish their love still triumphed. The second to last line comes with a more hopeful tempo the line starts as “Hold still right before we crash ‘Cause we both know how this ends” I think this relates to the balcony scene which happens before this scene where Juliet says Romeo should be quiet as both of them know if he is caught he will be put to death. The final line is “a clock ticks ‘til it breaks your glass and I drown in you again”
Alan Watts once said, “Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.” (brainyquotes.com). Watts is saying that we can't just say that we love someone, we have to feel our heart swell with the love we have for that person. In William Shakespeare's, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love because they automatically fall ‘in love’ after seeing each other once, they decide to get married a few hours after they meet and they are too immature to actually know what love is . One reason Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love is that they fell in love right after they meet (lust at first sight).
