The night was frigid, and with each breath the brisk scent of winter's kiss fell upon my lips, and with each of her cold, cursing, kisses, came the distant taste of mint. The grasses sparkling in the full moon’s light stretched far into the horizon with short, dark, and wide Juniper trees which sparsely dotted the landscape. The stars shone in the sky painting the sky with vivid blues and purples that colored the rocks and frosted grasses below. This was Ekhaia, this was home, and in Zïam, a small, but advanced town of Ekhaia, my friend, Thistle, lie dying in my bed. It spoke of how the gods lived among the clouds in the mountains once known as the Rockies millions of years ago by the previous race, who evolved to become people like me. These “Rockies” were distant from my home, but in the bright morning light distant mounds of purple were visible. It was told in the tale that all the gods lived there together. These gods, along with others, all lived together in these great mountains, but they all lived under one ruler, Arames. Arames was the one who watched over all the gods and people.
