Homes
The homes were built with blocks made of sun-dried, earth shaped sandstone blocks. The roofs were covered in ponderosa pines.
Adaptations
The ancient Pueblo people had to adapt to the ongoing climate change in the regions where they lived. They typically built groups of homes that included enough space for up to six hundred people. They only wore breechcloths, or short kilts. The Pueblo women wore knee-length dresses called mantas. Mantas were made of cotton. They were fastened at the right shoulder, leaving the left one bare. But the missionaries did not think their dress style was modest enough, so around the 1900´s, most Pueblo women began to wear blouses or shifts under their mantas. Pueblo men and women both wore deerskin moccasins on their feet.
