Of all the super villains I believe the Green Goblin is the best, his whole character is the perfect vision of what a villain is like. Because of the person he really is, he is not suspected to be an evil person. All his accomplishments and success overshadows his real ego. He is a very smart man and manipulative, the Goblin has good strategies and complicated plans, but his plans have to be stopped by the Amazing Spiderman also known as Peter Parker.

As he came out of the darkness of the pond and the sun caught his shiny scales and the light reflected orange and yellow and red. He swam very close to our feet. His body was round and smooth in the clear water. We watched in silence at the beauty and grandeur of the great fish" (120). When Antonio sees the Golden Carp the first time, he could not believe his eyes that he had saw a pagan god.
General Zhousbek turned to her, not slowing his mount’s pace and replied, “Goblins do not suffer from exhaustion as humans do or suffer mental anguish. When we get to Cormyth, they will be ready to fight to their death and when Parsis see our numbers, they will be the ones demoralized. We outnumber every man, woman, and child in Parsis, four to one. Our sheer numbers will overwhelm them.” He then turned back and continued guiding his horse along the narrow pass with Sara and the goblin army following close behind.
In most cases the “monster(s)” are perceived as the “others,” which at the beginning of Christina Rossetti’s Goblin Market seemed to hold true. At the start of the poem, lines such as “We must not look at goblin men, we must not buy their fruits” (42-46, Rossetti) help set a tone of us versus them. Throughout most of the beginning of the poem both Laura and Lizzie are described as being cautious and weary of the goblin men trying to get maidens to buy their fruits. Rossetti’s word choice included an abundance of “us” and “their” with more negative connotations surrounding “their”. Though after Laura gives into temptation and bites into the fruit, her withdrawal symptoms isolate her from her sister who has not yet eaten the fruits from the goblin
My favorite villain is the green goblin, because he goes against spider-man, and spider-man is my favorite super hero. Green goblin is not a very well known villain except for in spider-man. He always tries to kill spider-man, because spider-man always stops him from hurting people. Green goblin is spider-man's best friends dad, he uses super high tech green suits with a glider that is also green, he has these grenades that shoot sharp stars, and gas grenades. He never wins, because spider-man always saves the day.

In the essay, The Devil’s Bait by Leslie Jamison, Jamison emphasizes her paper about Morgellons Disease. Throughout her essay, Jamison introduces the urgency of the disease by going to a location that is known to have many people asking the doctors to believe them. The reason Morgellons Disease is an urgent topic that must be discussed is because many people feel like their voices are not being heard and ignored. Many have a disease whom they see as needing emergency treatment, however they are being told it is their brain playing tricks on them. The rhetor is compelled to speak about this issue for it gives those whom she interviewed a sense of voice and a call out to doctors to be more understanding of their patients.
ENL 102 - VICTORIAN LITERATURE A textual analysis of Goblin Market, lines 394-446, from “One call'd her proud,“ to “Some vanish'd in the distance. “ About a century before the poem Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti was written, a political philosopher Edmund Burke is presumed to state that “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” This extract of the poem takes place shortly after Lizzie decides to overcome her fear and simultaneously break her own judgement and out of love for her sister tries to buy the forbidden fruit in order to save Laura’s life. She then shows incredibly strong willpower when she refuses to give in and eat the fruit herself despite everything the goblins put her through and at the
Christina Rossetti’s poem “"Goblin Market"” is a piece of literature that caters to multiple audiences. From the poem’s formatting and the way Rossetti wrote the poem, it has strong similarities to a children’s poem and although Rossetti has said that the poem is indeed intended for a young audience, the dark content and underlying themes of this poem hint that this piece of literature is also meant to be consumed for adults in an easily digestible format. " Goblin Market" presents an overall darker perspective on childhood, demonstrating that childhood has two sides: the innocent side that it is most commonly associated with, and a dark, uncivilized side of it. Although "Goblin Market" unifies these two contrasting sides of childhood through the plot of the poem tied in with the nursery-rhyme style writing of the poem, "Goblin Market" ultimately demonstrates that the the amoral and moral notions of youth are separate aspects and that one can not begin dwelling in the immoral aspects of youth without having to leave behind the moral aspects of a youthful life. The content of the poem shows that while a child will inevitably experience his loss of innocence in his youth, it is his choice when he chooses to give in to society’s temptations. "
