Anger In Cronus And The Lightning Thief

A common theme explored in the myth of “Cronus” and The Lightning Thief is anger. There is a lot of anger in the myth of Cronus. Gaea was angry with her husband Uranus because he hid some of the kids he was ashamed of. Cronus was the son of Gaea and Uranus. He ate 5 of his children and that made his wife Rhea very angry. There is also a lot of anger in The Lightning Thief. The main character, Percy Jackson is angry because his mom died and he doesn’t know he has a dad. He’s also angry because he is always getting in trouble and doesn’t seem to fit in. At the end of the book he is angry when a friend betrays him. In both of these stories there is a struggle for power that begins because two sides are angry with each other.
