When the animals looked outside they no longer recognized their surroundings and leaders. The had realized that they have been blind and could no longer tell the difference between man and pig. They had become indifferent. This was said by the narrator yet really explains the thoughts going through all the animals on the farm’s heads except the pigs.
Chapter 1 and 2 1. At this point of the novel, I feel a little curious as to where the story is going to go. I must say, I am a little confused on how the animals are planning on going though with their plans. 2. I can think of ways I have felt like these animals do in the story.

For example, the pigs believe they were superior to everyone. Textual evidence: “they explain that by their studies of the past three months the pigs had succeeded in reducing the principles of animals 7 commandments.”
1) It has been a quite interesting reading, something I am not used to reading, but at the same time it has been cool and has made me interested in the events at that time of communism in Russia. Sometimes I have trouble understanding certain sentences or words but I use a dictionary to understand what the text seeks to narrate. Moreover, having animals as the main characters and a farm as the main setting helped me to understand more the story 2) Yes, many times people want to make changes favorable to one group of people, especially when we have witnessed injustices or unpleasant events, we seek to fight for change, however, it is sad to see that just as we can achieve change, we ourselves can act with injustice for other groups as well.

To initiate with, just before his casualty, old Major cautions the family pets against humanity: "Man helps the quest for no animal aside from himself.... All men are opponents....

In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, the reader has the opportunity to see the steps in the link of the past and the future as it unfolds, and what dire consequences can result from the actions of such agencies of terror. Arguably, the FSB is a modern day KGB. Despite repeated promises by the Russian government to reform Russian Intelligence Agencies, the FSB continues to enjoy the same unmitigated power of the KGB to rule by terror, and (in time/before long/soon enough) history may well repeat itself. Thesis Statement: Dictators Create decisions for what can be said and done. The animals in the novel Animal Farm had created a set of commandments that all the animals had to follow, then one day the group Napoleon and the other pigs broke the fourth commandment by sleeping in beds, the Animals on the farm read the commandment and it decreed “No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets” (Orwell 67). The quote supports the thesis for the reason that Napoleon has changed the rules so that he is not breaking them, so that the other animals will not be tempted to confiscate Napoleon's power. The statement supports the quote because Napoleon decision to change the fourth commandment. Napoleon changes the fourth commandment without the vote of the other animals which leaves the animals no choice but to go along with the change for the reason that the animals have been brain washed.
The story starts out with a pig named Old Major who had had a dream and wanted to tell the entire farm. He talked about a world where animals lived free from the humans' tyranny and sings them a song named "Beasts of England". Later he dies and two pigs coined the term Animalism. The farm animals resolved to overthrow their owner, Jones. Two pigs, Napoleon and Snowball become the head of the farm and create seven commandments that all animals must abide by.
Mrs.Rabbit was a mother of 4 children Flopsy, Mopsey, Cotton-tail, and Peter Flopsy, Mopsey, Cotton-tail were all good children but Peter was bad. Mr.McGregor hated rabbits in his farm. In the morning Mrs. Rabbit Left to go to the market and buy food. Before Mrs. Rabbit left she said that Flopsy, Mopsey, Cotton-tail, and Peter could play in the fields but they couldn’t go to Mr.McGregor’s farm.
My parents enjoy telling friends and family that they originally purchased me from the hospital gift shop but had “no room in the inn” and therefore during my early childhood I was raised in a sheep stall in the barn. Though to this day I am unsure whether this story is valid as my father is yet to present the lost hospital gift shop receipt, it is still true that I have spent all of my life in an agricultural environment. The government told the human race that nothing is wrong, it was just the citizens’ fear of the worst. So people did not worry about their lack of food or unsafe working conditions because they had no reason to distrust the government. They never realized that their idea of a utopia slowly slipped through their grasp. Rather than maintaining utter perfection in respect of laws, politics, customs, and conditions, the government remained in oppressive societal control; everything appeared ideal, but once examined closer, the true horrors came to light.
There is a common expression that says men are pigs, and in Animal Farm, Orwell shows us how pigs turn into men. For example, “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which” (Orwell p. 141). Orwell portrays the pigs as leaders that control the animals into believing that what they as pigs are doing is right which leads to corruption. So people’s ignorance contributes to social oppression in that quote from Orwell.
Animal Farm by George Orwell is a story about animals that rebel against their owners on a farm. They then try to solve problems on how to run a farm. One theme in this story is ”Not everyone is equal; some people believe that they are more superior than others.” This theme is demonstrated by Napoleon, he’s a dictator and makes all the rules in the farm to fit his needs. Another theme in this story is “People deserve to have their own thoughts and ideas.
Jaewon Shim Ms. Manning English 9B 06 February 2015 Animal Farm Analytical Essay "Orwellian" is an adjective that describes the condition of the society that George Orwell identified as being destructive to the welfare of a free and open society. The adjective suggests an attitude that is controlled by propaganda, the denial of truth, and manipulation of the past. In George Orwell’s novel, Animal Farm, George Orwell develops his ideas about the Russian Revolution through a highly satirical story written in the form of a fable. The characters represent actual people in history during the Russian Revolution, which took place in the years between 1917 to 1944, as it talks about a story of a farm rebelling against a human owner and establishes their own way of running the farm, which was effected by Old Major’s speech who talked about a society where all workers led the society, with no actual leader. However, imbalance of power occur as the pigs, who are the smartest of the animals gain influence by supervising other animals to work.
The book that I have chosen to be challenged is Animal Farm by George Orwell. The summary ofthis book is that the animals of the farm weren’t getting the right care from their farmer. The animalsbegan to take control. Old Major, an aging horse, talks to the animals of Manor Farm to rebel against thefarm’s owner and to reclaim their rights and to establish the animals equality. Old Major dies and isreplaced by pigs, Snowball and Napoleon, who get all the animals on the farm in which they agree to getall the human farmers off the farm.
