Animal Farm vs. Holocaust The book Animal Farm is similar to the Holocaust because people and animals take over. In the Holocaust, Hitler took over and in Animal Farm, Napoleon took over. Animals or people (depending on the case) get killed due to disagreements. Hitler didn't agree with Jewish religion and certain animals didn't agree with Napoleons' actions. There were superior and inferior groups of animals or people.
The author doesn't only show the greed of the pigs once, he repeatedly shows the greed of the pigs throughout the story. Only a few pages after the last quote, the author writes "The order went forth that all the windfall apples were to be collected and brought to the harness-room for the use of the pigs," this sentence, and the sentence showing Squealer lying to the animals about the apples, shows the pig's desire for the apples. In Animal Farm, propaganda was mostly used by the pigs. The use of propaganda allowed Napoleon to persuade the animals that Snowball was the reason their hard work of the windmill was wasted and that he was the reason of all the negative aspects of their lives.
