When the animals looked outside they no longer recognized their surroundings and leaders. The had realized that they have been blind and could no longer tell the difference between man and pig. They had become indifferent. This was said by the narrator yet really explains the thoughts going through all the animals on the farm’s heads except the pigs.
A Secret Lost In The Water, by Roch Carrier, uses the flashback technique to share the narrator's story past and present. Without narration in these stories, there would be no story. The Fall Of A City, is the only story read in class that is in third person, meaning the reader gets to see inside of Teddy’s head, this God-like narration is called omniscience. The reader sees this when “Duke Lani of Caria, and prayed for the coming of King Theodore… “Teddy!” He sighed.
In the book Animal Farm George Orwell sets the scene with the animals do hard back breaking work for little to no rations, who’s in charge who has the power to fix all of it? After being inspired by Old Major speech The animals on the farm rebelled and won against farmer Jones. A pig named Napoleon took control as a sole dictator and after a long reign you couldn’t tell the difference between the pigs and a humans. The first technique Napoleon used was propaganda to his advantage, he also used his power and animalism to bend the rules and finally Napoleon used fear to keep his power. Napoleon used propaganda to stay in charge.
Narrative is generally accepted as possessing two components: the story presented and the process of its telling. A story can be presented in two basic ways, as a linear narrative and as a non-linear narrative. Linear narratives follow a straight line and non-linear narratives usually start at in the middle or in the height of conflict. Casablanca and Memento are two films which contrast in narrative approaches.
A puppy mill is “an establishment that breeds puppies for sale, typically on an intensive basis and in conditions regarded as inhumane.” There are thousands of puppy mills in the United States, some of which are not recorded. Therefore, the ASPCA has concluded that there could be over 10,000 puppy mills in the United States. There are many issues regarding puppy mills, from the way they treat the animals and the upkeep of their environment. Many of the puppy mills are not regulated and not licensed to own a puppy mill.
Years passed. The seasons came and went; the short animal lives fled by. Mr. Jones had passed away in a nursing home. The memories of the rebellion and those who nobly fought for it had long passed from the minds of the animals. The few who remembered it where old and frail.

Power can have the persuasive action in undoing the moral ethics of one’s character. This can be seen throughout history, such as World War II and proven by the actions of Napoleon in the allegory, Animal Farm, by George Orwell. As Lord Acton said “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” In history what was viewed as a villain, is never the same as the perception. A leader does not begin wanting to do wrong, they start with the best intentions, but power is a tricky thing.
This term applies across genres, including art, literature, poetry, drama, music and film. A variety of narrative styles exists, the most common one is chronological sequences. Circular narratives, however, provide an alternate framework to tell a story. The beginnings revealed themselves later to be endings; narratives followed circular routes; multiple narrative paths, independent of each other, crossed, entwined, merged and diverged; characters did not develop in any “conventional” way, they appeared then disappeared, dying in one scene and then alive in another. This engages the audience and then takes them on a journey, in a circle.
Thesis Statement: Dictators Create decisions for what can be said and done. The animals in the novel Animal Farm had created a set of commandments that all the animals had to follow, then one day the group Napoleon and the other pigs broke the fourth commandment by sleeping in beds, the Animals on the farm read the commandment and it decreed “No animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets” (Orwell 67). The quote supports the thesis for the reason that Napoleon has changed the rules so that he is not breaking them, so that the other animals will not be tempted to confiscate Napoleon's power. The statement supports the quote because Napoleon decision to change the fourth commandment. Napoleon changes the fourth commandment without the vote of the other animals which leaves the animals no choice but to go along with the change for the reason that the animals have been brain washed.
‘’Classic narrative is basically linear. It is like a river which has a source in an inland spring’’ (Potter, 1990). The three-act structure was derived from Aristotle, he claimed that a linear narrative follows a straight line, it starts at the beginning proceeds to the middle and moves to the end (Dancyger, 2013).
The government told the human race that nothing is wrong, it was just the citizens’ fear of the worst. So people did not worry about their lack of food or unsafe working conditions because they had no reason to distrust the government. They never realized that their idea of a utopia slowly slipped through their grasp. Rather than maintaining utter perfection in respect of laws, politics, customs, and conditions, the government remained in oppressive societal control; everything appeared ideal, but once examined closer, the true horrors came to light.
Animal Farm by George Orwell is a story about animals that rebel against their owners on a farm. They then try to solve problems on how to run a farm. One theme in this story is ”Not everyone is equal; some people believe that they are more superior than others.” This theme is demonstrated by Napoleon, he’s a dictator and makes all the rules in the farm to fit his needs. Another theme in this story is “People deserve to have their own thoughts and ideas.

In George Orwell’s novel, Animal Farm, George Orwell develops his ideas about the Russian Revolution through a highly satirical story written in the form of a fable. The characters represent actual people in history during the Russian Revolution, which took place in the years between 1917 to 1944, as it talks about a story of a farm rebelling against a human owner and establishes their own way of running the farm, which was effected by Old Major’s speech who talked about a society where all workers led the society, with no actual leader. However, imbalance of power occur as the pigs, who are the smartest of the animals gain influence by supervising other animals to work.
