The Roots of Inequality Have you ever wondered why just sixty years ago the people of Papua New Guinea were still using stone tools while families in the U.S were just sitting around the TV and watching cartoons and other television shows. The answer is inequality but you might ask what started inequality? Well itś not something that just happens out of thin air. For a civilization to be equal, they had to of been able to develop at the same rate as everyone else but the people of Papua New Guinea were unable to. Most countries don't have access to the same variety of animals because of their climate being too hot or to warm or by just simply not having enough food to support their survival. In order to domesticate an animal it needs to have a good social structure, disposition, diet, growth rate, etc. For an animal to have these characteristics it makes it really easy to tame compared to say a lion, zebra, elephant, etc. When a civilization can domesticate animals for example the Middle East it can free up time for others to work or invent new things further progressing their civilization. The specialist that make these weapons and tools were called blacksmiths and metalsmiths. With steel and specialists spain was able to progress so much further than everyone because of what the steel and specialists provided. The specialists provided new inventions, For instance you would not have steel if not for the benefits that came with having specialists to make it. Steel was a huge leap forward for spain as they not only could make swords and armor but they could also make things like typewriters to communicate with each other and to make books for learning and reading. When you have swords and armor it is no doubt way easier to decimate other cultures because of the fact that they had steel and the other civilizations most likely had bronze or maybe even nothing to defend themselves with.
To summarize this, Being able to make steel relates to geography because without a good geographic location you can´t get all the required resources to make steel. So the spaniards were able to make steel and decimate everyone because of their lucky geographical
