According to Anne Frank, all people are good at heart. But is that really true? Well, the truth is, that not all people are good at heart. Furthermore, The people Anne was referring to as “good at heart”, the Nazis, were the ones responsible for the mass murder of the innocent Jewish people. Not even just the Nazis, as there were many more factors in why this all happened. Additionally, The Jews were forced out of their homes, had their businesses taken away, etc. for no valid reason except for their religion. And finally If everyone was good at heart, then the fighting and bickering occurring in the Annex wouldn’t have come about. The persons Anne was referring to as “good at heart” were the ones responsible for the mass murder of the innocent Jewish people. In a quote from the Diary of Anne Frank play, it states, “Dussel: They are gone. Anne: Gone? Dussel: With all the others. Anne: Oh, no. Not Jopie! In this case, the “good at heart” people murdered Annes friend. This is very ironic because she said that everyone is good at heart, but those people were responsible for the death of Anne’s friend Jopie. Comparatively, another quote state 's “Anne so it seems our stay here is over. They are waiting for us now. They gave us five minutes to get our things.” The quote from the play proves my previous point that this is an ironic situation.
