Are people aware of their own good nature, are others aware of their good nature? Anne Frank’s statement, that people are truly good at heart, is true.The current generation and the past generation has had its faults, it’s troubles and events. For instance, the Holocaust and the recent Florida school shooting. Yet, there is always good in the world, no matter the tyrant. People will sacrifice their own for others. They have the ability to change their mind from the worst, to the best. Deep down, everyone cares for something.

People will sacrifice their own for others. Everyone makes a sacrifice, whether it be today or a century ago. For instance, The Frank family and the Van Daan family in the Annex during the Holocaust. Mr. Frank, the leader of the group, lets the Van Daans have their own room in the Annex, while Mr. and Mrs. Frank sleep in the main area. Mr. Frank answers their questions, that “Please. I’ve thought this out for weeks. It’s the best arrangement. The only arrangement,” (Goodrich, PDF 707). Instead of making the Van Daans sleep in the main room, the Franks sacrifice their own living space for the other family. They are willing to give away their own comfort and personal needs for the Van Daans to have their own privacy. Meanwhile, later on, a woman, Miep, brings things for the group in the annex, while risking her life to do so. We hear this in one of Anne Frank’s diary entries.
