If you like Anne Franks diary you will love this book. Beyond the diary tells about the life of Anne Frank in greater detail and really informative to the reader. Ruud van der Rol and Rian Verhoeven wrote this for the Anne Frank house.

This book tells more about Anne Franks life experience with Adolf Hitler and how Jews were hiding away. The Frank family left there house for a better hiding because if they were found they would be deported. I feel like this book helps me understand what Jews went through when Hitler came to power. The author actively describes what Anne and her family went through and gives pictures to show what is going on.

This book states that Anne Frank was born in Frankfort which is a German city. The Frank family had unique things such as Anne's dad invented bedtime stories for bedtime each night. The Frank family were experiencing poverty and unemployment when Adolf Hitler came to power. Hitler took full control in democracy. Jews were imprisoned, beaten, and deprived. The Frank family was in hiding and they still got news about the other Jews getting sent to concentration camps. While they were in hiding in the secret annex they had a knock on the bookcase door (a hidden door to the secret annex) and the Frank family was scared, they thought they got caught. During the day they had to whisper and be very quiet so people in the store wouldn't catch them. Anne Frank wanted to go outside but they were scared. They were in the secret annex for 2 years.
