“Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart” said Anne Frank. Anne Frank is known for her diary. Anne Frank was one in a million Jewish children that died in the Holocaust. After taking alook at the life and work of Anne FRank, it is apparent that this writer deserves recognition as a profound American author. Anneliese (Anne) Marie Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany, to Otto and Edith Frank (Anne Frank Web). She also had an older sister named Margot Frank. On Anne Frank’s thirteen birthday she recieved a diary ( also known as Kitty) just a few weeks before her and her family and four others went into hiding to avoid deportion during World War ll (Anne Frank HistoryNet). Anne Frank wrote for over two years while hiding in a concealed room behind a bookcase where her father worked in Amsterdam.
