Anne Frank’s Legacy There is nobody better at hide and seek than Anne Frank. The Franks lived in a confined space for almost two years with four other people, never once getting to go outside. I hope they weren't claustrophobic. Throughout this lengthy period Anne expressed her feelings through writing. Her journal was named Kitty, to keep her company.
Anne and her mother do not bond well; Anne likes her father more than her mother and says she only loves her father. “Finally I told Daddy that I’m much more fond of him that Mummy.” Her mother gets upset because Anne never goes to her for any help. Last, Anne is a leader because she writes her life during the most difficult time period
Anne Frank Essay In the secret Annex you would have to be exceptionally quiet in order for anyone to know that there were people living there. The Holocaust started in 1933 and the Nazis invaded Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg etc. which made civilians go into hiding in order to not get captured by the Nazis and sent to concentration camps. In the book “Anne Frank's Diary” their family and the Van Daans go into hiding in the secret annex due to the dreadful Holocaust .
In order to fully understand the story it must be evaluated to show what lesson is to be learned from the reading. The story has an epiphany implemented into the writing which gives a new realization in the importance of this part. A major evaluation to this short story is to fully understand the main characters in it. One significant character in this story is Louise.
In the year 1933, the persecution of Jews and their families due to the holocaust had begun. Hitler had come to power, and made Nazi Germany believe the Jews were the problem. The Jewish families were forced into hiding or else they would be taken away to concentration camps or killed. One of the families in 1945, being persecuted were the Franks. Anne Frank was 13 when they moved into the hidden annex above Mr. Kralers office building.
Anne’s relationship with her mother is gradually maturing and improving. “ I used to be furious with Mummy, and still am sometimes.” This shows that Anne still gets angry with her mother, but not all the time. This shows that her relationship with her mother is getting better because Anne used to get mad at her mother all the time. In that sentence she said “sometimes” .
According to Bear Grylls, “Being brave isn’t the absence of fear. Being brave is having that fear but finding a way through it.” Many situations that happen in our everyday lives focus on triumph over adversity. This quote explains that when one triumphs over adversity, the adversity isn’t absent from his life, but he must triumph over it and find a way through the situation that is affecting him. Historical events have followed this theme of triumph over adversity, including the infamous Holocaust.
Childhood, like any other part of a person’s life, is only lived once. Once childhood becomes our past, as we all know, becomes a memory. To help the reader become more aware of how heartbreaking this fact may be. The authors E.B white in “Once More to The Lake” with the fact that you can never revisit the past, and Annie Dillard, in “An American Childhood,” through looking back at the past while remembering to be happy in the present. For E.B White in “Once More to The Lake” the lake he visits serves as a symbol of the past and present.
Do you think Anne became famous and lived beyond her childhood? I think she did she has now let people know how bad she suffered with her family. She also did a good job explaining on what was going on in the annex. The book made people really see that it is not fair to treat people unfairly.

She changed the world by blessing humanity with her extraordinary literature skills and imagination. She showed that even in horrible times, people could make the most out of it, and not wallow in their misery.
The 1940s were a crucial time all over the world with hardships and wars going on for years. Within these wars, two little girls that have been apart of it their whole lives, have shared their experiences through a diary and a book of stories. The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young jewish girl named Anne Frank, who has to go into hiding with her family in order to not get caught and taken away by the Nazis in Amsterdam, and while in hiding, records her experiences and thoughts into her diary. Farewell to Manzanar is a book based on a girl named Jeanne Wakatsuki who is seven years old at the time, and gets taken away with her family to Manzanar encampments, as the U.S. government doesn’t want to risk any Japanese Americans possibly giving up information to the Japanese as they are at war with them. Anne Frank and Jeanne Wakatsuki have many similarities and differences throughout their lifetimes on the run from the war.
In Kate Chopin’s “The Story of an Hour” demonstrates the personal growth of the dynamic protagonist Louise Mallard, after hearing news of her husband’s death. The third-person narrator telling the story uses deep insight into Mrs. Mallard’s thoughts and emotions as she sorts through her feelings after her sister informs her of her husband’s death. During a Character analysis of Louise Mallard, a reader will understand that the delicate Mrs. Mallard transforms her grief into excitement over her newly discovered freedom that leads to her death. As Mrs. Mallard sorts through her grief she realizes the importance of this freedom and the strength that she will be able to do it alone.
Imagine how it feels to be stuck in a tiny, miniscule room for almost two years, not able to make a sound or movement and if heard by someone,death or concentration camp is the destination? The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett is about a small family which consists of Anne, Margot, Mr. Frank, and Mrs. Frank who were in a shock of fear, and went into hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Over the course of the story other characters join the family into hiding such as Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and their son Peter. During the time of hiding, Anne kept a diary to write down all her thoughts, fears, and feelings and was later known to be the most important piece of literature from the times of the Holocaust. The story takes you through their everyday lives of hiding in the annex which also includes arguing and times of happiness.
Even the detail in first part of story are full of emotions even though they are not real. By using such great detail in the first part of the story, it thricks the reader in thinking that what she is telling is what really happen to her. In the beginning of the story she talks about what happen to her, “My blood was on the front of this man’s clothes.” Which the reader can imagine this scene really easily. She explains every event with great detailed thought the whole story.
This 330-page book describes the life of Anne Frank during her hiding. The setting of the book was during world war one. Themes of identity and isolation are present in the book. In the beginning Anne’s diary talks about her life has a 13 year old teenager.
