1. Sampling is a Process.
Statistics is concerned with taking data and turning it into useful and consumable information. Transforming data into information that starts with summary statistics by means, median, range, and standard deviation.

2. Samples are the Results of the process.
The ability to compare things to another and have basic knowledge and understanding of what results will happen. In project work, comparative experiments are used to validate whether a project was successful or not. At least two checks are …show more content…

It's educated guesswork Statistics does not deal with perfect abstractions; it deals with real world phenomena. Statistics gives us tools to simplifying assumptions and to reduce jumbled data into something that fits into the problem domain to be able to be solved in a mathematical abstraction. This allows us to make educated guesses, but that's really all what statistics is: the art of making very well informed guesses.

5. From the Nate Silver presentation, it is clear that many political commentators did not like his methodology, his conclusions, and the fact he ended up being very accurate. In your personal opinion, why did this backlash take place, and why didn't people accept the sampling methodology used by Silver?
1. Nate Silver got the the backlash because he took all the jumbled up information about voters. he made sure to separate it into information that can make sense. It has been suggested that statistics is not math. Why might this be and what are some essential differences between statistics and math?
Mathematics deals with better than reality abstractions that have total solutions, or the fact that no such solution exists can generally be described in full. It is the science of discovering complex but necessary consequences from simple statements.
