According to the Michael Kolkind in the essay History 489 at Berkeley the conflict over people’s park took place. The thirty years war was a series of brutal , bloody , and a very deadly wars that took place mostly in Central Europe and it is seen as one of longest and most destructive conflicts in European history.
Each country was motivated by the idea of having a strong foothold on this side of the world. They all thought that by increasing the size of their colonies, it would increase their world power, this in fact turned out to be the opposite. In the end they created a new superpower that would end their colonization in North America and force them back to their homelands. The first misstep by the French, Spanish, and British was their underestimation of the natives. They thought they could come into the land and call it theirs without any confrontation.
The study of AP United States History will provide a much greater understanding of how our country came to rise. Because I have been studying United States history since 8th grade, learning more material will certainly enhance my knowledge of United States history. Through reinforcement by previously learned material, as well as learning new material, this study will give me a great insight to my understanding of how our country evolves. Moreover, having a knowledge of United States History will prepare me for future endeavors, as the study of history is essential to move forward in society. We, as citizens, should begin to use previous tactics to build upon new tactics in today’s worldly affairs.
World War II is commonly thought of as one war between many nations. While World War II consisted of many nations, World War II was split into two different wars. One war in the Pacific and one in the Atlantic. The war in the Pacific was chiefly fought between the Japanese and the United States of America and was caused because of the embargo set on Japan by the United States and the rise of imperialism. First day of sophomore year, looking through the syllabus of AP World History, I began to seriously question why I had chosen to take such a rigorous course on a subject I didn’t even enjoy. History was always boring to me because every year before tenth grade I had been stuck with a teacher who presented facts, names, and dates in a monotone fashion that presented to me a very dull view of what history as a subject really was. It was in AP World where I had the privaledge of having a teacher who was passionate on what she taught, and a course that gave an intensely more detailed view of history.
