Lastly, the European conquest affected the indigenous population negatively because their establishments were destroyed. When Moteuczuma was killed the most powerful empire came to an end. The images from the Lienzo of Tlaxcala clearly display how the indigenous population renounced their own spiritual beliefs to embrace the religious beliefs of the Europeans. (Mesoamerican Voices, p.45) Although image 3.3a shows Malinche gracefully being baptized, the reality of the indigenous population is that they loss many people and suffered many injustices.
The war lasted from 1095 bc to 1204 bc. Two religions fight for land, money and power. This leaves two questions to people. Why did these religions hate each other so much? They hated each other so much because of their difference of religion and gods.

During the 16th and 17th centuries there were four powerful leaders in the world. Emperor Kangxi, who was the ruler of China in the Qing dynasty. Pedro de Cieza de León, who arrived in America as a boy but was Spanish, fought in the war against the Inca (which the Spanish) won and looked over how the Incan empire was run. Louis XIV who ruled France from 1643 to 1715, and finally Emperor Jahangir who ruled the Mughal state from 1605 to 1627, after the reign of his father, Akbar. The kings and emperors of the 16th and 17th centuries faced multiple challenges when running their societies.
Starting off his short term as president, James K. Polk had expanded the nation by two-thirds through the addition of Texas, the Oregon boundary, and the conquest of all Mexican provinces north of 31 degrees. However, having been elected on a platform pressing for Oregon to a northern boundary of of 54 degrees 40’ and Texas to a southern boundary of the Rio Grande river, Polk came to an agreement with Britain on 49 degrees but went to war with Mexico in want of Texas, New Mexico, and California. The acquisition of Mexico was concerning because it surfaced the debate over the balance of power and slavery between the North and the South. Along with Polk’s decision, Democrats agreed in expanding territory because of their strong following of the Democratic doctrine, the Manifest Destiny, by expanding the nation’s territory through any means.
Europe was able to conquer and explore the rest of the world, an not anyone else not because of a superior economic status, but because of of its geographic location and because of its political strategies. In early history, Europe was the easiest place to thrive as a community because of s superior geographic location which gives it many advantages. Europe was economically superior to some places, but others such of China were as good, or if not than even better than Europe. The location of Europe shaped its political ideas which in turn motivated it to conquer the world. An additional document showing the crops grown in America and how efficient they are could be useful to prove Europe's superior geographic luck.
An enduring issue is a prominent problem that has affected or been affected by people throughout history. The ongoing issue of inequality is the state of being unequal. One group has more power than the others. There have been many instances of inequality in years past, such as the Treaty of Nanjing. The Treaty of Nanjing was established after the opium wars between China and Great Britain (OI).
The imperial mission and mindset of European’s drastically changed the course of history. Driven by their lust for money and power, the Europeans ransacked the lands of the Natives of America and devastated the people of Africa. At their encounter with these foreign bodies, to which they declared were less than their white, Christian selves, the Europeans saw nothing but economic opportunity in these lands. In the Americas, Natives were disregarded and killed, and their land stripped of all the bountiful resources it once provided. In Africa, the people were taken as slaves and treated with less respect than garbage.
In this essay I will be focusing on my reasoning behind taking AP U.S. History rather than a regular history class. My main reasons for choosing APUSH include my desire to challenge myself and better my academic performance, APUSH also allows me the possibility of getting college credit, and will help with my understanding of other AP styled courses. First, I chose APUSH over another class was because I believe that it will better my overall academic performance and make me a well informed student. I also trust that I will become a more organized and put together student, and teach me some form of time management through projects and due dates in general.
In The Rise of Conservatism in America, Story and Laurie have gathered different articles, newspaper sources, interviews, and addresses into a volume of documents that reflected the sudden increase of conservative values throughout American history. More historical figures spoke and pointed out the flaws of liberalism as it dominated the government until the early 1960s. As these documents point out the wrongs of liberalism, it also explains why the nation needed to reintroduce itself to conservatism. While both liberals and conservatives’ purpose was to find the best possible way for America to function, the conservatives sought out plans for traditionalism and in order to preserve the original wording of the United States’ democracy in response
I learned how to formulate a restricted, unified, and precise thesis statement. I am now able to organize essay content into introduction, body and conclusion paragraphs. I also learned how to construct and organize unified, coherent, and well-developed paragraphs. I am able to apply grammar and usage rules correctly and develop clear, concise sentences. I learned about parallelism, run-on, comma splices and sentences.
This Fleeting World: A Short History of Humanity: The history of humanity is very dissimilar to short and sweet, if not the mere opposite. Learning the background of humankind can be very intimidating and daunting to the everyday AP World student and even the everyday AP World teacher. David Christian, a world history professor at San Diego State University, wrote a short and sweet 100 paged book on the history of humanity, with the goal in mind to make it easier for the everyday AP World student and AP World teacher to understand. Christian achieved his goal by breaking apart history into 3 specific eras, and also by taking other historians explanations and addressing them.
African American Studies was a great experience. Has opened my eyes to my surrounding and the world around me. This course with Dr. Sheba Lo, was something out of me confront zone. I learned so many things from race to cultural to the importance aspect of African American. We are isolated to an environment that hide so much history that we all don’t think they are important to who we have become.
There was no doubt in my mind that I tried my hardest in the classes; I just did not have as much faith in myself when it came to the test day. In AP U.S. History, I did my homework religiously every weekend on Sunday afternoons by delving into each chapter as much as possible and enjoying what I was reading. For AP Language and Composition by creating a word wall in my room in order to improve my vocabulary. All the weekends spent doing homework and more for these classes paid off in a way I never would have imagined. I finally was able to believe my hard work towards achieving a goal could actually be rewarded.
