Inside out essay The movie “Inside Out” is about the emotions of Riley, who just moved to San Francisco with her parents. At the beginning she manages to stay positive and make the best out of every situation, but when she loses important parts of her memory, she sees everything as bad because she can’t remember how much she loves her friends, parents, and her favorite sport, Hockey. This happens because Riley needs her memories to stay herself and deal with new situations and problems. When Riley comes home from her first day of school and eats dinner with her parents, she reacts in an angry way every time they ask her a question. She thinks the other kids do not like her and does not even try to make new friends. That is because she forgot how important her friends were before she moved and does not remember that she needs friends and many people actually liked her before. This is an unhealthy behavior because Riley misses her chance to get to know other kids, which is part of the cause why she does not get happier in San Francisco and a base for future problems. When Riley calls her best friend from Minnesota and talks with her about Hockey, her friend mentions the new girl on her team. That makes Riley think that her friend already found a new friend and does not need her. She thinks her friend does not miss her so she says she has to go and closes her laptop angrily.
