Susan G. Komen (SGK) is one of the most influential non-profit organizations in terms of its effort in championing their cause. We have been given the task to help rebuild their image, and offer our recommendations on how to regain public trust and support. After the defunding of Planned Parenthood (PP) and its mismanagement of dissemination of information and response, the question that strikes us was why Planned Parenthood responded to the news and actions of SGK negatively. Despite the fact that it is true, that PP was under federal investigation for mismanagement of funds. Based on the knowledge we gain from analyzing scholarly article, video recommendations and records of communication between SGK, PP and the public, our group propose

The universities ended up making 4.4 billion dollars in total. This helped create and grow both of the schools in population and in size. (Doc A) Due to the schools having so much money, they had better teachers. This made more students want to come to the two universities.
I think there are many ways an ANP can influence health policy such as by providing high quality of care, lowering cost of care, increasing healthcare access and excellent nurse-patient relationship. Healthcare advocacy is very complex and requires access to the resources of power, wealth, will, time, energy, along with other necessary social and political skills and resources. As (Gould, Fleming, & Parker, 2012) state “advocacy is a fundamental instrument of health promotion practice and suggests strategies to apply these principles in

The University of Notre Dame and Drake are a lot alike for one main reason; they both “started from the bottom and now they’re here”. As the great Father Edward Sorin once said, “I came here as a young man and dreamed of building a great university in honor of Our Lady. But I built it too small, and she had to burn it to the ground to make the point. So, tomorrow, as soon as the bricks cool, we will rebuild it, bigger and better than ever.” (Why the French-Founded Notre Dame School's Athletic Teams Are the "Fighting Irish").
The biggest thing to keep in mind here is it takes millions to keep a big program on its feet. Take a football program for example; rarely do University

Since obtaining my master’s degree I often ask myself what will be my next career path. Will I continue to further my education or focus on other aspects of my life? As I continue to grow in my professional career, I have obtain valuable skills and knowledge to succeed in the public health field. However, the drive to immerse myself in higher education and receive more leadership opportunities are goals that I have not met. Therefore, I would like to continue my education in the same field, by applying for The Doctor of Public Health (Dr. P.H) in Health and Policy Leadership program, at Loma Linda University School of Public Health.
The second ECPD session was a presentation with Dr. Levett giving a background about his experience and how he came into the public health field. Dr. Levett has a wonderful passion in him for the public health. A statement he mentions that stayed with me was if you do not have the passion for public health it would not make you happy (this is not the exact statement). I believe Dr. Levett was stating, public health is not an easy career where one gets a job with a high salary, but it is a career where you learn to love what you do. One thing that was very memorable when Dr. Levett spoke was the origin of several public health and scientific terms originated from Greek terminology.
