They have a myriad of state qualifiers, two District 10 titles, one metro title, and four regional titles. I feel I would have more of a chance of earning scholarships to colleges when I get older. Like I said before, this school would contribute to my life as an adult. On top of that knowledge, I’ve heard time
Growing up in San Diego was fun. The beach was near my high school and it was the ultimate after school hangout. At the beach, you could enjoy the best homemade ice cream at Mootime Creamery. When my friends were hungry, we would head out to the closest taco shop. My favorite dishes are rolled and fish tacos.
I honestly feel blessed to be able to attend this school and I am glad that my supervisor recommended me to apply. Attending Pacific Oaks College and pursuing a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education fills me with a profound sense of excitement and anticipation. The reputation of Pacific Oaks as a prestigious institution that emphasizes experiential learning and social justice aligns perfectly with my passion for inclusive education. I am thrilled to immerse myself in a supportive and progressive academic environment that values diversity, equity, and the holistic development of each student. The prospect of engaging with faculty who are experts in the field and being part of a close-knit community that shares my dedication to fostering inclusive classrooms fills me with a sense of purpose and

Coming to Cal was great for me because it was the first time I had found a real LGBTQ community. Growing up I always moved schools so most of my friendships were fleeting and upon settling for high school the Gay Straight Alliance club was extremely small so coming to Cal provided a great sense of community and belonging. The summer before my first fall semester, I took a few classes to get a feel for the campus which ended up coinciding with Obergefell v. Hodges and SF gay pride which is where I made a lot of friends. Whether it is going for drinks in the Castro, dressing up for the Folsom street fair or going to social events at Oscar Wilde, Cal has provided an amazing sense of acceptance and a safe space. During the spring semester, I preformed
This college is not just to teach me of my oncoming career, but also to prosper me with my walk with Christ, help direct my future, and allow me to learn leadership skills.
I have lived in East Oakland my whole life. To the majority of people, the mention of East Oakland evokes thoughts of violence, shootings, and gangs. I was one of the people who believed in these stereotypes, and for a particularly long time. I was one of the people who saw Oakland as a wasteland, a place with nothing to offer me, and a place I had nothing to offer to.
Hello my name is Johanth, I was born in San luis Rio Colorado, Sonora. At the age of 6 I was enough fortunate to move to San Luis, Arizona. Since a young age I’ve been very successful in mathematics. I’ve gone to cty at Seattle University and Roger Williams University. Also, I am a car enthusiast I love and enjoy learning and knowing specs about new cars, all types, from sedans to hypercars.
No matter what time zone I am in, my phone buzzes most frequently when I am asleep. Whether a missed call from a friend in Kenya, an email from a musical collaborator in Canada, or a LinkedIn message from a U.K. investor in my educational startup, I eagerly wake each morning to many new notifications. Growing up, I traveled extensively, living on three different continents. In fact, my passport looked like my coloring book. Learning five languages and adapting to foreign environments while maintaining my identity, has taught me to value different skills, including networking.
“I’ll come back to visit sometime,” is what I am obligated to tell to every single one of my friends I made. Since I was young I never had trouble making friends, but keeping them was a challenge to me. It wasn’t because I was mean or because I didn’t want friends, it’s because I moved around a lot when I was younger. I was born in Fresno, California, but then I moved to Mexico at a really young age so I was raised there until I was five years old.
The Day I Moved to Sacramento It was the last three days of school but the last one for me, I was moving away from San Bruno. This is a story about my last day in San Bruno. The first time I moved there I thought it wasn't very nice and stuff because it looked Very Ghetto Things were old and just trash and stuff everywhere, there were a lot of Gangs and stuff like that, but I think I was there for about 4 or 5 years. I went to a school called Parkside Middle school there was a 6th grade , 7th , and an 8th grade at the school.
One of my favorite parts of Rutgers University is the ability to meet people that may live only 20 minutes away but have experiences that are a complete contrast to your own. During my first-year at Rutgers University I thought I knew what diversity was, I was raised in Jersey City, one of the most diverse cities in the nation, so when I came to Rutgers I did not expect to find more diversity. At Rutgers, I have had the opportunity to meet people that are not just diverse in culture but also in age and experience. Here I have met a non-traditional student who graduated almost a decade ago and came back to get a second degree after finding a new passion. I have had the opportunity to grow closer with intriguing people such as a triplet, a professional photographer, and a professor who is deaf but defied the odds
I grew up in San Francisco, California and I am so happy that i did. My home state has always seemed so welcoming compared to others and it still continues to do so in my opinion. I believe that growing up in california has positively influenced me because it is so diversed and filled with endless opportunities. There are so many people from all over the world who come to california and it is an important aspect because it resulted to having me exposed to different cultures as I’ve grown up and it has changed my perspectives on many things in the world. Opportunities are also everywhere in california, for example , a program that i am attending called Breakthrough, it is a non profit organization that supports youth in receiving a good education and supports students on the path to college.
Living in a small town has motivated me to try my hardest at an early point in my life. I had just moved in and I wanted to be known for something. Through my years living in Avon I learned that I could achieve great things and be recognized. Ever since then I have continued to try and surpass the achievements I have once set. Growing up in a small class in a small community has made me strive to be recognized for great achievements.
and it 's a great school. Thank you for your time and hope to maybe see you
