Being a health science student whose infant sister was successfully delivered at BC Children’s Hospital and one who also had the opportunity to help clients inquire into the hospital, I have had several opportunities to learn about the its pediatric programs and found myself wanting to be part of its operations. As a student whose concentration is in public health, chronic disease and genetic disorders, I feel that I have the knowledge required for a respirology project assistant. Furthermore, I believe my experience communicating with Chinese patients, translating medical documents and collecting data from clients with PWD statuses are assets I can bring to the project, particularly in a culture and status sensitive place like Vancouver.
4.6- It is accepted that practitioners in health and social care settings can be affected by the stressful nature of the work. (Godden 2012) When discussing challenging situations with supervisees we need to ensure they feel supported and have received the necessary training such as DMI and have completed their induction. Ensure they understand they have to adhere to the behaviour management programs and relevant risk assessments. If a specific incident has occurred reflect with them the effects of events and consequences and actions that occurred, using the records of incidents, A B Cs and tick charts for reference if needed. Help them to understand how they might have caused and influenced events and work out the most effective way to handle
The Accountable Care Organizations are a coordinated effort between healthcare providers to ensure the best quality of care delivered to the patients and at the same time at a reduced cost. This means that health care providers will voluntarily come together to form the ACO and patients will be able to get treated by any provider in the organization. Apart from that, it will reward the providers for delivering quality care. Even though the ACOs is comparatively a new concept, but its certain concepts and features are closely related to early managed care organizations (Barnes et al.,2014). Both MCOs and ACOs rely on the creation of physician network, promotion of member health and resource management to control costs.
In this domain the White City VHA scores range from ones to fives. Two of the three elements scored a five, and one element scored a one. The VHA has a clear statement and commitment to PFCC. A model, Health for Life, was developed by the Office of Patient Centered Care (OPCC), which focuses on the whole person. Veterans health care goals, not the disease, are at the center of the care.

Each passing day makes it harder for Chris to get enough money that he can share with his family of three children.

The course allowed me to think beyond my current practice knowledge and acquired innovative ways to evaluate the situation at hand. The learning objective in program outcome four helps set standards that I will use to guide my clinical practice to meet various healthcare needs. Using the case studies has helped to further enhance my knowledge on disease physiological state, using differential diagnosis, disease manifestations, and clinical presentation. It has also taught me the skills on how to differentiate between similar diagnoses to properly identify the problem and treat the patients.
Ageism is discrimination or prejudice based solely on a person’s age, an extreme issue in many elderly clients that reside in sheltered housing communities, as well as quality of life. Bodner, Cohen- Friedel, and Yaretzky conducted a study involving awareness and beliefs about ageism and quality of life in sheltered housing versus those feelings in seniors who live outside such an environment. It was anticipated that that seniors within sheltered housing would have elevated agist attitudes. To test this hypothesis, they took a sample of one hundred twenty six volunteers between the ages of sixty four and ninety four. The contributors completed a survey called the Fraboni scale of ageism, and a Quality of Life (QoL) Inventory.
