in the reading, Archaeologist are known as history detectives. They find pieces of stone, bone, tools, pottery, food, and buildings. Archaeologist use tiny shovels and toothbrushes to dig and brush away dirt. These detectives use eight different steps to complete a case. These eight steps are problem and idea, hypothesis, idea or answer, make a plan, collect data, analyze the data, come to conclusions, and then tell others about it. In addition, Archaeologist tell us how people lived in the past. An example of this is Dr. Johanson finding lucy's bones, he told us the history of lucy. Archaeologist study artifacts and soil.
