The team of archaeologists arrived at an island off the coast of Wales. This site is known as the Gateholm Island and the only way to get there is by rigging a zip wire. They know the place was once inhabited; therefore, they want to find out who have settled in the island. Approximately years ago, artifacts such as Roman stone phallus and a bronze stag were found, these artifacts suggests that the island might be a ritual center. First, they survey the island using magnetometers and ground penetrating radar techniques. The ground penetrating radar transmits high frequency electromagnetic pulses into the ground, and when it found an object, the transmitted energy is sent back to the surface. They also use the ground reconnaissance technique which is the visual inspection of the ground. As they walk and investigate the ground, one of the archeologists found a projector point which suggests that the island was once occupied by some individuals around 10,000 years ago. In addition, one of them found some fines which substantiates the claim that people have been living there before the Iron Age. Overall, they want to find out whether the Romans, Vikings or others had inhabited the place. They also dig at a site which is a quarter of a mile away from the island and they wish to establish a link between the two site. Throughout the process, they set out three trenches in the site on the mainland; the first trench reflects an entrance while the second one is a round house. Finally, the third trench is the defensive bank. They also reconstruct the past life ways of the people with experimental archeology; create an experiment to figure out the behavior. They recreate the scenario to understand how the defensive bank work. Back in the island, they set out two trenches.
