Introduction Leaders, Dictators, empires and Kings rise and die but only ones that use their power to do good will and help their people will be remembered through time. History also tells us that there have been leaders that let power take over them and corrupt themselves and their family, friends and their country. It 's only clear that “power corrupts and absolutely power corrupts absolutely” is, in fact, true and I certainly agree with the Quote written by Sir John Dalberg-Acton in the late 18th century. There are people in this room that disagrees with the "power corrupts" and say that power doesn 't corrupt or change persons while they are in a position of power. In a quote from Abraham Lincoln Stated "Wanna test a man’s real character, well give him power" What did the 16th president of the United states mean by this you wonder, will it means power changes a person and really shows who they really are in the inside. Now tell people all the people that still disagrees what power doesn 't corrupt, why would Mr. Lincoln say that at his time of power? It is because he saw it happen with his own eyes and how people changed just because they were in a place of ownership. Power does corrupt and shows people what they really want and who they really are. Conclusion As expressed Nations, empires, governments and kings fall due to the corruption that comes with power. Leaders to use their power to benefit their needs and took advantage of the power, Individuals personality and character changes when in place of power my last argument and reason why power corrupts is wealth and rich people that rise to power is most likely to corrupt then poor people as they feel higher than everyone else. In fact, power corrupts in the hand of good and bad people. Power is dangerous. Thank you for listening
