Argumentative Essay: Are Youth Sports Good For Kids?

Youth sports are very popular in today’s society, but there are different opinion on whether or not they are good for kids. Even though some people may not agree, I believe that youth sports do more good than harm to children. Foremost, I believe children who play sports have stronger social skills than other kids. Second, ports are productive hobbies for kids and they learn to spend time wisely. Most importantly, with obesity becoming a problem amongst kids, I think it is important that kids get exercise.

I believe, Children involved in youth athletics have significantly stronger social skills. For example when kids play sports they learn the basics of leadership, They learn how to take charge in helping their team win the game. Another example is they learn sportsmanship, they learn to not make such a big deal about losing because they know that they played their best and tried their hardest to try to win a game. For instance children involved in sports for their free time they get to go to practice and play, instead of sitting at home being lazy. Usually when kids get home from school they most likely go sit on the couch and go on the computer and properly have something to eat. Another thing is a sport that person plays may be the sport that they want to grow up playing. The reason I say this is because you get a lot of kids try out for sports that they love to play and consider growing up playing the sport.Lastly they learn about time management, the reason i say this is when ever they play a sport they usually make up a schedule of what their day is going to be like.
