Books with topics on real world situations can “help young people better understand the world they live in, the human condition, and issues they face in their culture” (Source E). Learning and understanding the world that these students live in can help them become a better member of society. They can learn about how their words and actions have consequences and that not everyone is going to agree with them. Parents are always trying to teach their children these lessons, but by banning fiction books with these topics are making it harder to understand.
