Schools should have open campus lunches. It gives the students a break for the day from the entire thing that is stressing them out. It gives the students a mental break. 73.4% of kids with open campus lunches have a better day compared to kids that don’t have open campus lunches. If students had open campus lunches it would be less stressful on the school cooks.
The entire day is composed of students being herded in masses to and from classrooms and eating the awful food. America needs to rethink how high schools work, and the best way to start is to allow open-campus lunches. Allowing students to leave campus and purchase their own food gives the students the freedom to make choices. This is a freedom every American has and is the basis of capitalism. Plain and simple, cafeteria food is disgusting.
Though new school lunch organizations provide a healthier, more proficient learning environment, they also promote realms of controversy over student meals. However, these conflicts are futile in comparison to constant concerns over global health issues, including obesity, anorexia, and even
Wouldn't it be marvelous if schools had a food court? As excited as that sounds, almost all schools don't have food courts provided. Only the richest school districts provide students and staff an inside food court. However, lunch time is an important meal, and it should be spent the way students like. Whether it is a McDonalds hamburger, or a Panera bread salad special, the students should have the freedom to choose.
In conclusion schools should not change the lunches because they don't have the power to tell students can or can't eat, they don't have the time and money, and finally because they are not allowed to put a limit on how much a student can eat due to the “No Kid Hungry
Parents are outraged at this situation because they have to provide their kids with extra money, or food to make up for what the schools aren’t doing. The students that have to put up with these horrible meals want to be heard, and in order to do that they have two good options: voice their opinions, or throw the food away. Sure these issues bother students and parents, but they even bother government officials, and the members of student lunch
There in fact that of Hatch valley high school to start having a closed campus during lunch hours. In any fact of what closed campus could mean for the rest of the timing in school campus. That in which any student will take on for the rest of what amount of time they might have left in school. For the best of it that having this school to have a closed campus is a wonderful idea. For any fact that the food that is served here is delicious; there's enough free time for people to socialize with their friends, and HVHS grounds is a safe place for the students.
Community colleges are important because they provide an affordable alternative to postsecondary education. They offer open admission, flexible schedules, and convenient locations. Community colleges make up a large part of the higher education system, enrolling more than six million students and growing rapidly. They help students become prepared to enter the workforce or transition into a four-year school. But even with all the steps taken to make community colleges accessible to all, there are still thousands of students who cannot afford to attend.
Although this plan is great for the economy, some might argue that there are certain repercussions that should be taken into consideration. For example, by making community college free, the program would cost $60 billion in the course of 10 years in a cost-sharing program with the states (Butler 1). Although this sounds like it’s a substantial amount of money, it is manageable. In regards to the benefits of the proposal, this is a small price to pay. In the long run it is better for the economy.
College is one of the most important and life changing times in the life of an American. Leaving high school behind and venturing out to the adult world is an amazing experience that every individual should experience. However, young adults from every corner of the country leave college with crippling debt or do not go to their preferred college of choice. College education should be cheaper as it will help families and students financially and give them the satisfaction with having the opportunity to go to their first choice for college.
To begin with, the taste alone of school lunches is beyond unsatisfactory. The meals provided by public schools are not appetizing. There exists a tangible disconnect between the enticing, nutritious meals advertised on the school board’s menus and what the students actually receive—pathetic portions and lukewarm meals slapped onto a tray. Children’s complaints about school lunches are often seen as trite. However, while common, they are not any less accurate.
Tobacco use in teens are a serious problem. I remember when I was in high school almost everybody in my class was either smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco. It had gotten so bad that the school had to ban chewing tobacco from the school regardless if you were the legal age to buy it. It was always against the rules to smoke cigarettes on campus but the students found a way around it. Now there are E-cigarettes.
Even with the “healthy” options most school supply is packed with harmful preservatives and chemicals that harm our youth from buying the cheapest possible edible green thing. As a country does not seem to want to invest into healthy and better futures for our young people. The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act is supposed to make the food healthier than it used to be, which means there should be more fruits and vegetables. While they may have more healthy foods, the foods are sometimes gross looking.
Although college is stressful and time consuming , having your dream career, is a huge life achievement. Having a job isn’t the same as having a career “I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as 'making a life”(Maya Angelou). If you sell yourself short by not going to college you’ll end up working just to make ends means not because it's what you enjoy doing, it's due to your family counting on it. Those who go to college will end up having a better future than those who don’t. I agree that going to college is more beneficial because my view on the topic states that in order to have a secure and clear future you must go to college.
