“Family Guy” is a popular show known for its comedic solid writing and character development. The show often pushes boundaries, satirizing many aspects of society. The mastermind behind the television series is Seth MacFarlane. Born in Connecticut, MacFarlane started cartooning at a young age and went on to study animation at the Rhode Island School of Design. His student film “The Life of Larry”, gained attention and led him to a job at Hanna-Barbera Productions. In addition, he tends to have a childish sense of humor, as can be seen in the show. Despite this, Peter is also known for being a caring man who loves his family and friends. Michael Scott, the main character in “The Office,” can be characterized as an imbecile who disregards rules and is inconsiderate towards others. In the show, Michael is supposed to be the “best boss”, however, because he is more worried about being liked than being a good team leader, he ultimately becomes a terrible leader. He often displayed selfish motives and could be described as a supportive friend more than a directive boss (Singh 1). In the workplace, Michael could not exhibit agreeableness and similarly, avoided situations where he had to make a difficult decision. Peter and Michael are similar in a way in that they both possess negative traits that make them poor people, but despite that fact, they also care about people that are important to them. To conclude, both shows feature similar
