A study that surveyed juniors and seniors in public and private high schools around America found troubling details about the state of America's education system. 77 percent of students surveyed stated they feel there is racism in their school. On top of that, 42 percent of students surveyed indicated they have been discriminated against based on their race. 44 percent of the students recorded they felt administrators and teachers discriminate students because of their race, and 32 percent believe racism has an effect on the education system (Schroeder). This study demonstrates how far the education system is from racial equality.
Although schools of over a thousand students have flourished in America, when it comes to poorer neighborhoods, scores are profoundly low. I believe that despite the fact that my parents do not have enough money to send me to an opulent school with favorable circumstances, I should still have equal education opportunities. In today society, people are easily looked by their college degree level and they can be judged by their degree. But not everybody can afford to go to college in order to get a degree. People have different reasons of not going to college but most of the reasons are because of the tuition. Tuition are too high and they can not afford it. If the free college situation does not make a great effect on the economy, I believe that college should be free because free college can encourage more students to go to college, earn a degree and can decide on their future without the worry of paying debt and contributing to create a better society with their knowledges.

In the world today about 264 plus million children are being denied access to free education, according to Global Campaign for Education-civil society movement. Up to 80 percent of the world's out of school 5 to 18 year olds live in the sixty-five countries that a similar, more modern organization, Global Partnership for Education, is associated with. These are the children that are going to be leading and populating their own countries eventually so if have no education, how can they make logical decisions for the benefit of their country and the world? Education is globally recognized as a human right according to a number of international conventions. In all highly developed countries most people would claim education should be free for children worldwide yet a quarter of a billion children are denied education.
Education is vital to one’s life and well-being, however since education isn’t free so many kids around the world can’t take advantage of it simply because of their economic status. When people become educated, it allows them to develop different perspectives and would not only see an improvement in their life, but in society as a whole. Teachers have the unique job of creating the future leaders of the world, and preparing them for both college and life beyond, by putting a special push towards math and science, the so-called “foundation” of our society. The hard truth is, no one can be anything they want to be. Some people are simply not cut out to be engineers, doctors, or psychologists.
