A study that surveyed juniors and seniors in public and private high schools around America found troubling details about the state of America's education system. 77 percent of students surveyed stated they feel there is racism in their school. On top of that, 42 percent of students surveyed indicated they have been discriminated against based on their race. 44 percent of the students recorded they felt administrators and teachers discriminate students because of their race, and 32 percent believe racism has an effect on the education system (Schroeder). This study demonstrates how far the education system is from racial equality.
Although schools of over a thousand students have flourished in America, when it comes to poorer neighborhoods, scores are profoundly low. I believe that despite the fact that my parents do not have enough money to send me to an opulent school with favorable circumstances, I should still have equal education opportunities. As history shows, It seems that the public school system is having the same problems that manifested themselves decades ago. We are slowly, but surely, returning to segregated schools where the better schools and the better educational opportunities are in suburbia, and the better schools are being attended by mainly white students, while urban schools are being attended by minority students.
According to the history books and many lessons in the classroom, racism was conquered with the end of the Civil Rights Movement. On the surface, many people view education in regards to what is going on in their child’s or neighborhood school. However, in comparison to schools and districts nearby, there is a great disparity. The addition of busing and school choice gives the appearance of equal opportunities.
Public education in the United States has changed drastically over the years. These changes include good and bad, however, the topic of race has always been a controversial subject. African Americans have especially battled with the education system throughout the years. Unfortunately, the unequal treatment of this race lasted from early colonial times, until the mid 1900’s. The treatment of all races in the public education system has evolved immensely, and it appears time has only made this topic dissolve more and more.
An education, no matter what a child decides to do with it, is the most vital ingredient to growth. A proper education can result in an increase of knowledge, success, and confidence; it builds personality, improves a child’s social skills and most importantly, it prepares them for the future. In today society, people are easily looked by their college degree level and they can be judged by their degree. But not everybody can afford to go to college in order to get a degree. People have different reasons of not going to college but most of the reasons are because of the tuition. Tuition are too high and they can not afford it. If the free college situation does not make a great effect on the economy, I believe that college should be free because free college can encourage more students to go to college, earn a degree and can decide on their future without the worry of paying debt and contributing to create a better society with their knowledges.
Long ago, there have been massive arguments about whether or not community college should be free. Nowadays, a college education has become fundamental in today's society. Each year, education is becoming challenging in today's marketplace. Thus, many people, including students question whether community college tuition should be free given. I firmly believe free community college should be provided and financed by the U.S. government.

Getting ready for college is hard for some people because they don’t have enough money for college. Also, all their hard work for entering college has gone to a waste since they don’t have enough money. College education should be free because it could give students the life that they want, it could also help students concentrate on their studies, and lastly some people can’t afford the money. In the world today about 264 plus million children are being denied access to free education, according to Global Campaign for Education-civil society movement. Up to 80 percent of the world's out of school 5 to 18 year olds live in the sixty-five countries that a similar, more modern organization, Global Partnership for Education, is associated with. These are the children that are going to be leading and populating their own countries eventually so if have no education, how can they make logical decisions for the benefit of their country and the world? Education is globally recognized as a human right according to a number of international conventions. In all highly developed countries most people would claim education should be free for children worldwide yet a quarter of a billion children are denied education.
Education is vital to one’s life and well-being, however since education isn’t free so many kids around the world can’t take advantage of it simply because of their economic status. When people become educated, it allows them to develop different perspectives and would not only see an improvement in their life, but in society as a whole. There’s no doubt that education is the most important thing to enhance the lives of individuals. Without it, kids aren’t able to reach their full potential, causing citizens to experience major issues in life such as a low standard of living, ignorance, and among other things. Education should be free for everyone, regardless of their economic background, because every individual is important and should have the equal opportunity to better themselves.
Education is a huge issue that not only affects kids and their parents, but their community as well. Schools teach young kids to become the next generation of engineers, technicians, and political leaders, working towards creating a better future for their country and their community. Teachers have the unique job of creating the future leaders of the world, and preparing them for both college and life beyond, by putting a special push towards math and science, the so-called “foundation” of our society. The hard truth is, no one can be anything they want to be. Some people are simply not cut out to be engineers, doctors, or psychologists.
