The greenhouse effect is vital to the survival of life and humans on earth. Although, too much of it can affect our lives in a harmful way, just as too much of anything can harm or even kill us. In comparison to the book, Of Mice and Men, Lennie’s marvel over soft things such as bunnies, hair, and red dresses usually were taken too far. This led to major consequences throughout the book. The greenhouse effect is not just beneficial, it is imperative to all life that it warms the earth enough to prevent a global ice age.
Annotated Bibliography: How Climate Change Is Affecting Our Planet Controversy statement: Climate change is been debated for over centuries now. People all around the world are taking action and reducing burning fossils to minimize the gasses in the atmosphere. Many people believe that climate change doesn't exists. But there are a lot of controversial topics that proves that climate change is real. In my opinion, climate change is slowly killing us and destroying our planet.
First of all, let’s talk about the environment. I’m sure you all know about greenhouse gases and global warming, so I won’t talk much about that, but you may not know that road vehicles produce 10% of all man-made greenhouse gas emissions. This does include vehicles other than cars like trucks, but Tesla just came out with an electric truck which is faster and can carry more weight than any petrol/diesel truck. Greenhouses gases carbon-dioxide and methane have hit their highest levels in the past 420,000 years, and the extent of arctic sea ice has declined about 10% in the last 30 years.
Climate change is an irreversible consequence of the damage we do to our Earth. If we do not change our ways, the global temperature will swell, causing an unchangeable series of events, consecrating detriments onto all the existence upon Earth. In only about 140 years, the average global temperature has increased 0.8 degrees celsius, and the ramification is the irreparable destruction of the place where we and millions of other species live. The most important consequence of climate change is the global increase in temperature and how that is affecting various animal species all over the Earth, the health of humans, and the rapid rise of sea level.
When all these extra gases are released, carbon dioxide stars to accumulate in the atmosphere. Climate change is a global issue because when the temperature of the Earth changes even very slightly, it can cause droughts and our crops can die. This is affecting our food supply. When the Earth starts to warm many other things do to, the ocean will become more acidic and glaciers might partially melt. If the oceans become acidic, fish and other sea creatures will have an unlivable environment. If glaciers start to melt arctic animals that rely on the ice may start to become extinct.
