Slavery through the eyes of activists On December fifteenth, in eighteen sixty-five, the United States abolished slavery with the thirteenth amendment. Powerful individuals such as Frederick Douglass, David Walker, Nat Turner, Sojourner Truth, and Benjamin Banneker were people that longed to see the day that they would be free from slavery. Although these five individuals were never in contact with one another they all shared the same drive and motivation to change the way people viewed slavery for the better. These individuals accomplished their goal of changing slavery with a strong belief in god, a strong political voice and a light in them that never died.
As a leader of a Ecuador union I believe human trafficking should have a stop to it. Have you ever thought of how there are women who are worth doing anything to be able to have money well they use their bodies just to get what they desire. Well there needs to be a stop as a country leader I believe that it is a disgrace in having people getting their bodies forced and abused because they need to get their bodies sold to get money. Think about the consequences those people or basically mostly women get after doing these things in selling their bodies. Most people approve it because they know themselves that they enjoy seeing these things but in reality they don’t know that these women sell their bodies to maintain their families.

Illegal Immigration is a huge debate in America. What should America do with the illegal immigrants? Many believe that America should deport the illegal immigrants back to their homeland. They believe that America should do this because they are taking American jobs, costing American taxpayers, and smuggling illegal drugs into America.

Immigration has always been a crucial topic in the United States government. Especially when it comes to giving amnesty and passing an immigration reform to 11 million immigrants, that live in the country. Many citizens believe that immigrants are detrimental to the well-being of the United States and do not agree with the passage of an immigration reform. One reason is that many believe immigrants take away the jobs of American citizens. Other reasons are that immigrants bring crime to the country and affect the economy.

Growing up my parents ran a daycare in(at) our house so I was always surrounded by children (the good and the bad). My parents were the type who had no problem enforcing physical punishments such as spanking, the flick of the hand, a pop on the mouth, etc. All these punishments are within the definition of acceptable punishment as stated by Oklahoma law (qtd. ---). They practiced this on me, my siblings, and the daycare kids (with parental consent).
All around the world human trafficking exists and there needs to be a stop to it. Human Trafficking is a national problem because current laws are ineffective and therefore action needs to be taken to reduce the problem. Human Trafficking became our modern day slavery. Victims being forced into labor, being drug camels, and solicitation. Slavery has brought sadness to the world and yet aren’t realizing that the people being trafficked are becoming slaves.
Migrant Workers Migrant workers are a vital part of our nation. They are very important to the maintenance of America as well as other companies. Although they do a lot of good things for our nation, they are considered bad. Some people could argue that they are stealing jobs from Americans, and they are getting away with not paying their taxes to help our nation's economy. I feel that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks of having them in our country.
We are living in a world where one person has an absolute power over another. The groundless trade of human beings in today’s world shows a deteriorated state of affairs which confirms that the greatest moral challenge facing the globe today is human trafficking. It refers to illegal sale or trade of people for sexual abuse or forced labor through coercion or abducting people.
