I am sure that you, the American people are confused and angry that our President paid a large amount of money for the land in Louisiana and for our expedition of this land. I feel that the president made the correct decision to purchase this land, not only did this land more than double the size of our country, but it also allowed us, the members of the expeditions to make scientific discoveries on our journey to the Pacific. While on this expedition, we discovered many things that will be useful to us now and in the future. In the situation that our president was in, he showed that he wants to make our country better as a whole.The topic of the Louisiana purchase might not be agreed upon by all but, I feel that it was right to buy the land even though many thought it was a waste of funds. We can hunt many of the new animals that we discovered and use their meat for food and their skin and fur for clothing. If this one expedition through the Louisiana land can uncover this large amount of animals, imagine how many different species we will be able to find on other expeditions through the land of the Louisiana Purchase. On the expedition, we saw vast plains full of beautiful buffalo stampeding throughout the fields, and prairie dogs popping out of the ground almost as if they were appearing out of thin air and barking like little toy dogs. We also found some frightening things such as the grizzly bear which almost felt like the monster that hid under a young one's bed with its ferocious roar that was used as a warning for us to back away but some of the men on our expedition shot it six times and ran from it for around a mile until it was shot fatally once more this time in the head.
