Lower the Drinking Age: An Argumentative Essay Do you like alcohol? Do you like drinking underage? Do you think drinking underage is fun? The drinking age should be lowered because it would help with drinking and driving and also with young adults consuming alcohol at a young age. It would kill a lot of their fun because some of them think it's fun to break the law and drink underage. Making it legal would eliminate getting away with something that's not legal. Kids take a small amount of alcohol to get drunk and they tend to overdo it and over drink and it has more impact on them.”The MLDA in the United States is 21 years. “The CDC defines binge drinking as a drinking pattern that brings a person’s blood alcohol concentration to 0.08% or above. Binge drinking means consuming five or more drinks in about two hours for someone who is biologically male, or four or more drinks for someone who is biologically female”. Even though it's going to cause damage at a young age as in 21 and under, your brain does not stop developing until age 25. It's dangerous and irresponsible at a young age but we are allowed to drive and used to be able to buy nicotine and you can go into the military. “At ages less than 21 years people can legally: -own property. -will pay taxes. -have sex -get married -hold public office -be put to death for capital offenses -fight for our country But, they can't legally drink alcohol? It doesn't make sense to me because why would you be allowed to do all that stuff but not be allowed to buy alcohol?”(Do you think that military members) Kids are still going to do it so why not Make it safe and lower it then we won’t have a problem. But we make them suffer and wait until they are 21 but some kids think it's fun to break the law so they do it underage.”Kids and teens are more likely to binge drink and are more vulnerable to developing a problem with alcohol than adults.
