Technology may seem very innocent, or have the image as an incredible resource that we use on an everyday basis, but in some cases that statement is false. In our current day there are tons of types of technology that can help us with multiple things. Two of those things being simple tasks and communication with others. While there are obviously so many positive flaws on technology, there are some negative, mainly on students. The number one negative effect of students and technology is cheating on school work. There are many ways students today could cheat on a test, and you guessed it, technology makes up most of them. It's actually becoming a major problem in our society. You can text them questions then they can see the messages on their Fitbit. There are also such thing as “smart glasses” where you can record an audio file then connect it to your phone. Then you can play notes easily with a touch of a button. The most worrisome concept of this topic is computers, as time keeps passing and passing by technology will get better and better. Thus we will most likely take more assessments on websites like Skyward, which will be easy to cheat on because when a teacher is not looking you can just click on a new tab and search the answers using a provided search engine. Or if you're taking a foreign language assessment of any sort, the computer search engine (some of them being: Bing, Google, Safari etc.) will automatically try to translate the text on the page. Even highly advanced earpieces have a way to help you cheat. An example, could be a classmate could call you using the earpieces and you ask answers around the room.
