Should Child Soldiers be Given Amnesty?

Every day, a child is kidnapped and given a choice: kill or be killed. More likely than not, the child chooses to kill, to take the lives of other humans, rather than to sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the human race. I know this might sound like an ASPCA commercial, but this information must be known. It must be known that these children are too young, learn brutal tactics willingly, and do not think their decision to join a military group clearly. I believe that if these children choose to kill our soldiers with a passion, they should not be given amnesty. Not convinced yet? It states, “They aptly learn how to employ brutal tactics”. This helps my claim because the child soldiers “aptly” learn how to kill brutally, what else do they “aptly” learn how to do? Do they “aptly” plant bombs? Do they “aptly” smash other people in the face with their gun butts? Do they “aptly” do an Aztec human sacrifice? The possibilities of brutality and fatality are endless when you do it “aptly”.
My third and final point is from the article, “To What Extent Should Child Soldiers Be Held Accountable for their Crimes”. In the article it states, “Furthermore, many children join without carefully thinking through their decision.” This supports my claim because they probably only heard “gun”, “kill”, and “free candy”.
Sadly, some believe that these children should be given amnesty. They think that these children were forced to be drugged and were forced to fight. However, in the article, “Think Again: Child Soldiers”, it says that these child soldiers are “. . . deprived of their education . . .” These children cannot think clearly on what they should do, so they go to the child soldier armies, such as Al Shabaab, because they want to, thus making my point.
In conclusion, child soldiers should not be given amnesty because they are too young, they “aptly” partake in the learning of brutality, and they do not think their decision through, only hearing what they want to
