It is that time of year again where America’s most popular sport is dominating people’s televisions and lives again. It is played on almost every day of the week and weekend at multiple levels of skill. That includes at a professional level, a college level, a high school level, and even a level that has children playing it. This sport is football. Football is a game played by two teams of 11 players each on a 100-yard-long field with goal lines and goalposts at either end. The objective of the sport is to gain possession of the ball and advance it in running or passing plays across the opponent's goal line or kick it through the air between the opponent's goalposts. Football is very physical and can result in numerous injuries to a player’s body despite the protection the players use like helmets and padding. Billions of dollars are spent on the sport. It is crucial that football is abolished because it is clear that it causes significant injuries and health concerns that wastes the lives and careers of the players and the large sums of money spent on football could go to plenty of better causes. The damage and injuries that the players suffer from playing football clearly make it too dangerous to play. If people were to take the billions and millions of dollars spent on football and spent it on fixing the world’s problems. Think of the change that could happen from the result of spending the money elsewhere. This money could help solve major problems like too expensive health care, the prevention of deadly diseases, the economic collapse, the global water crisis, and maybe even the rapid change in climate. People take the large amount of money spent on football and use it to make the world a better and safer place for their generation and for generations to
