Imagine a world where kids did not get a choice. That is what is happening with kids and extracurriculars because if they do not like it they are not allowed to quit them even if they do not like it. I choose the no side because they might not like it or it could be too much for them. They might also need to do bigger and more important activities like homework and house cleaning. The Pro Side: Last winter at the olympics a commercial showed an athlete thanking her mom for not letting her quit sports. “My wife and I force are daughters to do sports”,said a father with two daughters. If you are too busy with something else you can not do the stuff you love. If you do not let them do what they want to do then they will never learn to make decisions on their own. If they don't want to do it or it hurts them then you don't have to force them to do it.
I have to agree with the con side because I don't think that adults should decide what kids should do. In fact I think that kids should get to choose there extracurriculars. You see this is what can cause kids to not know how to make choices for themselves. If this happens it could cause a problem when they grow up. Another reason I chose this side is because they may not like it. They should not have to do it if they do not like it. This is why I think that kids should be forced to do certain extracurriculars.
