Argumentative Essay: The SOL Republic Tracks

Poor Sarah, she is having what could possibly be the worst day of her life. Her boyfriend cheated on her, she failed her Math quiz, and she missed her ride, forcing her to walk the mile and a half home. The moment she steps through her bedroom door, Sarah collapses in tears on her bed. She glances across her room, when suddenly something catches her eye. The popping bright blue headband of her SOL Republic headphones. Sarah whips them on her head and proceeds to shut off her glum reality, and replace it with one of her own design. A reality tailored to how she chooses to feel all the way down to the color of her headband. Sarah could keep the bright blue and listen to “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift to replace those sad emotions with happy ones, or perhaps she swaps the bright blue for her black headband and listens to “Unwell” by Matchbox Twenty to not feel like the only sad soul in the world. Regardless of the song choice, the songs will not be able to cure her agony, but it can cushion the blow. Now these reality shifting headphones are better known as the SOL Republic Tracks.
