Animal rights is a topic that has been discussed for years. Activist are trying to prove that animals should have the same rights as humans even though many say not. There are multiple cases of animal abuse where the suspect hasn’t received a great enough punishment for what they have done to the creature. Where as if the victim was a human the person that committed the crime could have possibly received life. If animals don’t receive rights they could continue to be neglected, mistreated, and tested on. Animal Cruelty is an infliction of harm upon any non-human animal by a human. It is of the most common crimes toward an animal. Animal neglect is often associated with human neglect involving a child, elder or other dependent.

Vegetarian diets use less water, land, and energy than an animal based diet. There are also good effects on your health if your a vegan. Vegetarians have lower rates of heart disease, osteoporosis, and certain forms of cancer than meat eaters. A vegetarian diet is also associated with a higher consumption of fiber, folic acid, vitamins C and E, magnesium, unsaturated fat, and numerous phytochemicals. This often results in vegetarians having lower cholesterol and being thinner. Animal rights are rights believed to belong to animals to live free from use in medical research, hunting, and other services to humans. All animals have the ability to suffer in the same way and to the same degree that humans do. Whenever we consider doing something that would interfere with their needs, we are morally obligated to take them into account. Many people don’t respect animals rights even though they earned them in 1970. Animal earned the right not to be abused and tested on but yet it continuously happens. The only reason the abuse percentage has decreased is because of animal rights
