Animal Rights

Animals are being abused every single day and no one really stops the abusers. Nearly half of all animals that arrive in American shelters are euthanized because of a lack of adopters and space. So every week there is at least 80,000 euthanized. Half the population about animals and their rights. Animals are being used and beat like pitbull or any dog fighting, cock fighting, over breeding with poor care, and some people are even animal hoarders. The law enforcement hasn't really tried stopping the animal abusers and just drives on by. But they are some that is trying to stop animal abuse, like ASPCA. As PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk has said, “When it comes to pain, love, joy, loneliness, and fear, a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. Each one values his or her life and fights the knife.”(Newkirk, Ingrid) Animals should be given rights simply because they are living things. Animals are like humans too, in the way that they have emotions and are able to feel pain when hurt is inflicted upon them. Therefore, we human beings should not be selfish and we should treat our counterparts with equal respect as they deserve.
Next I will like to talk about it's the law enforcement. Nowadays the law on animal rights has went down since some people is really trying to stop the animal abusers on the streets and just letting it happen. In my opinion that's why crime rate went up and took animals down with it. Enforcements had been gunning down “vicious” animals that probably just needed help and they get killed because they were out as dangerous animals. We think they're being aggressive when there actually protecting themselves. There is also law like the animal welfare
